About the Role

The Director, Patient Affordability Analytics is responsible for leading and innovating data assets and strategies for the creation and measurement of Pfizer's patient affordability and copay programs. The role involves developing data and analytical strategies, dashboards, and supporting decision-making to implement innovative patient affordability programs that positively impact the patient journey. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including Pfizer Digital, Pfizer Patient Services, Pfizer Business Analytics, finance, legal, and compliance, and works across various therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Rare Disease, biosimilars, and vaccines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective coordination among all stakeholders creating a collaborative network with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Seek paths to partner with cross-functional teams to improve patient affordability data/analytics platforms.
  • Display and implement knowledge of healthcare industry and trends affecting Pfizer's patient affordability program design and implementation.
  • Maintain appropriate systems, databases, and records as defined within Pfizer's Copay SOP and Policies.
  • Use complex data modeling, aggregation, and analytics to inform decisions, including data quality, data structures, descriptive statistics, and data integration.
  • Analyze, model, and test assumptions about business questions through data analysis tools; garner insights; present complex concepts visually to guide decision making.
  • Ask business questions to enable data-driven insights that provide a competitive advantage.
  • Procure, lead, and apply patient affordability data assets to measure programs, innovate solutions, and enhance net sales.
  • Respond to ad hoc needs of internal business partners related to copay and patient affordability data.
  • Enable the Patient Affordability Solutions team to use data assets for insights, measurement, and sales enhancement.
  • Set direction and build a centralized data strategy for copay and affordability program data platforms.
  • Assist with data stewardship, quality, and resolution of data issues, and collaborate to build a comprehensive view of the customer experience.
  • Support program review meetings with metrics, impact assessments, and dashboards.
  • Demonstrate forward thinking in data integration, use cases, and application development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in an analytical function such as consulting, market research, data analysis, forecasting, or predictive modeling.
  • Experience analyzing patient/claims data is highly desired.
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical product reimbursement processes for medical and pharmacy products.
  • Experience managing complex projects and data sets.
  • Proficiency with pharmaceutical and payer claims datasets (e.g., IQVIA LAAD) and copay/affordability data sources (e.g., CoverMyMeds, Relay Health).
  • Experience building financial models to estimate impact on gross to net and net sales.
  • Experience with analytical model development and database manipulation.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics tools such as SAS, SQL, Python.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, motivated, collaborative, and comfortable with ambiguity.

Nice to Have

  • Consulting experience analyzing patient/claims data.
  • Experience working in a highly matrix organization and collaborating across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with data integration, use case development, and application development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (required).
  • MBA or relevant graduate degree (preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in analytics or related fields.

Benefits & Perks

  • Annual base salary ranging from $156,600 to $261,000, with a bonus target of 20% of base salary and eligibility for long-term incentives.
  • Comprehensive benefits including 401(k) with matching contributions, additional retirement contributions, paid vacation, holidays, personal days, caregiver/parental and medical leave, health coverage (medical, dental, vision).
  • Relocation assistance may be available.
  • Hybrid work environment requiring onsite presence 2-3 days per week.
