Job Description

About the Role

As Director - Product Management, you will be an integral member of the Product Management team which sits at the center of sales, content, PD&D (IT) and marketing to drive implementation of product strategy, the execution of Go-To-Market initiatives, and product development. You will liaise with the Tech team to manage Tech prioritization considering tech debt, tech maintenance, tech development, product development and new product initiatives. You will focus on content and sales to prioritize product changes, including definition of priorities and timelines. You will establish KPIs, monitor progress and development of products, and engage stakeholders to generate support. You will also ensure product goals are met, KPIs are agreed to, sales targets are set and marketing plans are in place. You will report to the SVP, R&A, Data and Technical Design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the NPD process which includes supporting the development and implementation of new products and enhancements through both external and internal engagement.
  • Manage information flow (Voice of the Customer) and feedback loops to enable product development, market research and GTM programs.
  • Establish internal engagement sessions to ensure alignment between content (Editorial), IT, Marketing and sales teams by developing and implementing Go-to-Market plans that meet targets.
  • Analyze competitive landscape, industry innovations, product revenue, and sales success.
  • Seek new market opportunities, define and size market segments, and work with sales strategy to define and improve market segmentation.
  • Define buyer personas, determine market messages, and identify best opportunities for lead generation.
  • Work with sales to define new revenue opportunities and productize them.
  • Maintain and manage GTM initiatives including training sales teams to implement go-to-market strategy.
  • Identify successes and failures of GTM plans and change accordingly.
  • Provide product line support for program strategy, operational readiness, as well as on-going sales and marketing support.
  • Maintain the product portfolio roadmap.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of product management, product marketing, or project management experience.
  • Experience in Commodities and/or Energy industries.
  • An understanding of how product development works with Engineering and the ability to communicate needs effectively between the groups.
  • Degree in Business, Management, Marketing (preferable) -OR - equivalent work experience.
