About the Role

Sprout Social is looking to hire a bold, visionary Director of Social Media to lead their global social media and influencer marketing strategy across platforms. The company is a social intelligence firm that powers the future of customer connection, emphasizing market leadership, demand generation, and customer retention. The role involves shaping industry conversations, elevating customer experiences, and setting the gold standard for enterprise social leadership, with a focus on innovation, impact, and industry influence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a global social media function, including channel strategy, planning, content creation, publishing, and performance reporting across LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and X.
  • Set a clear and differentiated social vision aligned with business goals, emerging platform trends, and audience behaviors.
  • Craft strategic narratives that break through noise and connect with enterprise audiences at scale.
  • Elevate brand presence with purpose-driven, culturally relevant content that resonates with executives, practitioners, and creators.
  • Represent the brand as a respected voice in the industry—on stage, online, and in strategic conversations with C-suite customers.
  • Publish and amplify points of view that shape the future of social, content, and marketing more broadly.
  • Lead with AI by researching, experimenting, and implementing new technology and approaches from the rapidly evolving AI toolset to transform team work and deliverables.
  • Bring firsthand experience managing complex, enterprise-scale social programs and translate that into actionable guidance for customers.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing to make social a cornerstone of customer engagement.
  • Work closely with Product and Innovation teams to translate customer needs and market shifts into product feedback, roadmap input, and new feature ideas.

Requirements

  • Experience leading a global social media strategy across multiple platforms including LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and X.
  • Ability to craft strategic narratives and elevate brand presence with culturally relevant content.
  • Proven experience representing a brand as a respected voice in the industry and engaging with C-suite customers.
  • Experience researching, experimenting with, and implementing AI tools and approaches.
  • Hands-on experience managing complex, enterprise-scale social programs.
  • Ability to guide customers with frameworks, storytelling, and examples demonstrating social's impact on business outcomes.
  • Strong partnership skills with Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams.

  • Experience in social media influencer marketing.
  • Knowledge of emerging platform trends and marketing technology.
  • Experience working with product and innovation teams to influence product development based on market needs.
