The Divisional Sales Manager (DSM) role involves driving revenue and sales performance across all physical channels within a specific region, managing relationships with wholesale partners and store managers, and leading a high-performing team to ensure a flawless customer experience and regional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales performance against forecast and targets by executing business plans and sales strategies throughout the region.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and develop business plans to increase revenue and profitability of the area.
  • Partner with the Divisional Sales Director to set sales and KPI goals for owned channels within the region.
  • Set KPI goals, budgets, objectives, and marketing plans for each store and communicate with owners.
  • Review store financial reports, analyze KPIs, and coach store teams accordingly.
  • Coach and support Store Managers, account owners, and franchise owners on talent management, inventory, brand standards, and operational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with operational policies, conduct performance appraisals, and recognize performance gaps.
  • Proactively recruit, develop, and retain Store Managers and store leadership.
  • Lead the rollout of company initiatives and product launches, providing ongoing coaching.
  • Optimize payroll and resources to maximize store contribution and financial results.
  • Analyze and optimize sell-in and sell-out performance at stores.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels at wholesale and franchise accounts.
  • Prospect for new multibrand opportunities and evaluate dealer accounts to maximize sales potential.
  • Respond to customer experience surveys and build relationships with wholesale retailers and key accounts.
  • Travel within the region to build relationships, understand the business firsthand, and maintain a strong field presence.
  • Develop and foster cross-functional relationships and communicate relevant business information.
  • Control expenses to meet budget guidelines and maintain accurate regional performance reporting.
  • Define and role model target behaviors for the sales organization in collaboration with leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a similar field, or equivalent working experience.
  • 8+ years of multi-store leadership experience.
  • Retail and wholesale experience.
  • Ability to manage key stakeholder relationships and influence others internally and externally.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse backgrounds.
  • Solution-oriented with the ability to overcome challenges.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and business potential maximization.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and managing change initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and experience with KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and store profitability.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% based on geography.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Business, Marketing, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of multi-store leadership experience.
