About the Role

As a software engineer, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for development of critical technologies to assist the modern warfighter. The position is with General Dynamics Mission Systems, a company that engineers high technology solutions for defense and scientific purposes, valuing trust, honesty, and transparency. The role involves research-oriented work with opportunities for continuous learning and development, and is based fully on-site in Bloomington, MN.

Key Responsibilities

Develop critical technologies to assist the modern warfighter as part of a cross functional team.
Apply software engineering concepts, principles, and theories to develop solutions.
Contribute to research-oriented projects developing practical security solutions.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
Requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
Agile experience preferred.
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire.
U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within the facilities.

Nice to Have

Embedded real-time C/C++ development experience.
Experience with Rust, Python, Linux, secure boot.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
2+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree.
