About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and execute the set-up and tear-down of special events, ensuring all logistical aspects are managed.
• Craft visually appealing and engaging flyers that effectively communicate event details to the target audience.
• Curate captivating social media posts that enhance event visibility and generate excitement.
• Record and photograph events through various multimedia platforms, capturing key moments and preserving them for future use.
• Administer surveys to gather valuable feedback from event attendees, contributing to the enhancement of future event experiences.
• Oversee the sign-in process, ensuring smooth and efficient registration for all participants.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Microsoft Suites.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Knowledge of Canva and Zoom.
• Social media savvy.
• Experience with EventBrite.
• Current enrollment as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during Fall and Spring semesters.
• During Summer semesters, students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
• Ability to work 20 hours weekly.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal background check.

Nice to Have

• Experience in event planning or social media management.
• Photography or multimedia recording skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a student at FIU with the specified credit requirements.
