About the Role

The Executive Director, Digital Marketing Strategy owns the successful implementation, adoption, and scaling of digital channels and technology for marketing and sales functions, and beyond. The role involves scaling digital marketing capabilities through implementing agile, cost-efficient digital platforms that maximize the use of integrated data and technology. It includes leading the development of the brand's digital and non-personal marketing strategy, ensuring execution across all audiences, and bringing digital innovation to the organization by piloting and expanding channels and assessing emerging technologies such as AI, omnichannel, telehealth, and HCP portals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, and train a team to serve as a center of excellence for executing Digital programs across all customers in Commercial
  • Develop NPP strategy for all channels (web, media, CRM, analytics) and audiences (HCP, APP, Patient, other) for existing and upcoming indications, in collaboration with in-line marketing team
  • Lead and execute NPP & Omnichannel readiness for indication extensions, from planning to implementation across customer types and channels
  • Lead tactical planning for digital and non-personal marketing in collaboration with marketing promotional teams
  • Anticipate macro changes to the digital and non-personal marketing environment and lead the creation of commercial plans to address these shifts
  • Upskill other Commercial functions and promote understanding and adoption of Digital tools in the field
  • Establish partnerships, outline roles and responsibilities, and develop SOPs through direct reports to support digital execution
  • Represent Marketing for digital and non-personal strategy across functions
  • Oversee the design and build of a Marketing Data warehouse and monthly dashboard for KPI reporting and ROI measurement
  • Develop and manage a significant annual digital marketing budget, including branded media spend, ensuring channel optimization and positive ROI
  • Oversee digital and media agencies, assessing needs, identifying gaps, and working with partners to execute
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, and Finance teams to establish SOPs and ensure proper policies are followed

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Digital and multi-channel marketing
  • Leadership experience
  • Oncology experience
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, initiative, and creativity
  • Talent for blending innovation with pragmatic execution
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Effective prioritization and delegation abilities
  • Networking skills internally and externally
  • Ability to analyze organizational data to optimize programs
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding financial and qualitative targets
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Understanding of FDA regulations related to pharmaceutical drug promotions
  • Experience with adult learning program design and implementation
  • Ability to work on complex problems involving analysis of data and variable factors
  • Judgment in selecting methods and evaluation criteria

Nice to Have

  • Experience with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), omnichannel, telehealth, HCP portals

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related discipline with 16 years of related experience, or
  • BS/BA degree in related discipline with 18 years of related experience, or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
