Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 10 years of experience in relevant fields.
  • Demonstrates thought leader abilities with success in developing credit and capital models within the financial services sector, including banking, consulting, or regulatory positions.
  • Knowledge in securities and derivatives valuation, risk management, market and credit risk models, mortgage prepayment models, and complex discounted cash flow models.
  • Experience in building, developing, and migrating models to cloud-based data science platforms.
  • Proficiency in statistical and machine learning techniques for analyzing large financial datasets, including sampling, hypothesis testing, optimization, time series, regression, decision trees, and clustering.
  • Ability to visualize complex financial data analyses.
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling using SAS, R, Excel/VBA, SQL, Python, and other programming languages.
  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as AWS, Azure, Data Bricks, Snowflake, or AI/ML platforms like Dataiku.
  • Understanding of Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Analytics best practices.
  • Strong client relationship-building skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to research and analyze industry and technical matters, and to work collaboratively within teams.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced Degree in Mathematics or other quantitative disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred fields of study include Financial Mathematics, Mathematical Economics, Mathematical Statistics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, Engineering, and Business.
  • Advanced Degree in Mathematics or related quantitative field preferred.
