About the Role

The JCC Association of North America is seeking a talented freelance graphic designer to support their in-house Marketing, Experience, and Conferences and Events teams on high-impact, mission-driven projects for Jewish Community Centers and Camps across North America. This remote, project-based role runs from August 1 to October 1, with the potential for extension, and involves working independently on various design tasks to promote Jewish engagement and community life.

Key Responsibilities

Support the in-house MarComm, Experience, and Conferences and Events teams on high-impact, mission-driven projects.
Design booklet and brochure layouts, digital ads, social media graphics, Canva templates, and event signage (print and digital).
Work independently using personal systems and licenses, with the option for provided licenses if needed.
Collaborate effectively with team members and adhere to project deadlines.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of professional experience, either client-facing or in-house.
Strong portfolio of real-world client work (not student work).
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Expertise in print layout and production, digital display/screen graphics, and social media graphics (Reels++).
Excellent written and spoken English fluency.
Ability to work independently and reliably, with attention to detail.

Nice to Have

Experience with nonprofits or in-house corporate teams.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
Proficiency in Canva and Microsoft Office tools.
Experience in print and digital graphic design.
Strong communication skills in English.
