About the Role

The opportunity is for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to support the United States Air Force by working in a software engineering role. The candidate will collaborate with teams to leverage and expand the client's platform, working in a fast-paced, agile environment to develop and migrate mission-critical capabilities. The role involves understanding architecture, tooling, and developing onboarding paths for the platform, with a focus on cloud providers, microservices, and modern software practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with current and new software development teams to understand their architecture and development environment tooling.
  • Develop onboarding paths to the client's platform.
  • Translate customer needs into technical solutions.
  • Assist in migration and modernization of software applications.
  • Troubleshoot application code and configurations.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams and communicate effectively.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with software development out-of-the-box (OOB) or functional concepts such as Python, Golang, or Rust.
  • 3+ years of experience with containerization and deployment with Kubernetes.
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD and developer workflow automation, including Github Actions, ArgoCD, or Flux.
  • 2+ years of experience with multi-cloud environments such as AWS, Google, Azure, or Oracle.
  • 2+ years of experience building microservice full stack applications including frontend, backend, or data storage solutions.
  • Experience with software migration or modernization.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across engineering teams.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with technical documentation for engineers.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience with Cloud Native services such as virtual servers, database services, and networking infrastructure.
  • Experience managing and configuring Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server operating systems.
  • Experience with hardened container images such as Iron Bank, DoD STIGs, or CIS Benchmarks.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner - Foundational Certification.
