About the Role

Your work will have meaning and impact as you support national security and work on enterprise system support on an AWS platform using Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full stack O&M support for systems using Java, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript frameworks, Tomcat, and SQL.
  • Leverage AWS services and cloud technology to implement innovative IT solutions.
  • Develop front-end components using JavaScript, JavaScript Frameworks (Angular, JQuery, Typescript, React, or Bootstrap), CSS, HTML, XML.
  • Work on back-end development with JVM (Java - Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate), Oracle Database, REST.
  • Use build tools such as git, Maven, ANT, and implement tactical and strategic improvements to large-scale Java/J2EE products.
  • Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
  • Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within existing frameworks.
  • Support the software development lifecycle: design, development, test, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Contribute to technical documentation including user manuals, system documentation, security certification requirements, and training materials.
  • Develop and adhere to best practices for application development.
  • Work within an Agile/Scrum development process and contribute to team performance and collaboration.
  • Collaborate across teams to support program objectives.
  • Debug issues and provide tier 3 help desk support if needed.

Requirements

  • Skills in Agile Methodology, Java Full Stack Development, JavaScript.
  • Experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript frameworks, Tomcat, and SQL.
  • Experience leveraging AWS services and cloud technology.
  • Front End Skills: JavaScript, JavaScript Frameworks (Angular, JQuery, Typescript, React, or Bootstrap), CSS, HTML, XML.
  • Back End Skills: JVM (Java - Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate), Oracle Database, REST.
  • Experience with build tools such as git, Maven, ANT.
  • Ability to formulate and define system scope and objectives.
  • Experience translating software requirements into solutions.
  • Experience supporting the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and contribute to team performance.
  • Debugging skills and tier 3 support experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Service Now.
  • Documented experience with DevOps platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub.
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle), SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
  • Experience with Web Services (SOAP, Rest).
  • Experience with Maven and ANT.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 0+ years of experience.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
