(USA) Staff, Software Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy large-scale applications, services, and systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Work cross-functionally with business, product, UX, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct design and code reviews, improve operational excellence, and champion best practices for high-quality software delivery.
• Guide and coach junior engineers on technical challenges, design decisions, and career growth.
• Engage across the tech stack, from front-end (React or similar) to back-end and data platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building, deploying, and supporting high-availability systems in complex environments.
• Proven ownership of end-to-end delivery for complex production projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance long-term vision and short-term business needs.
• Expertise in front-end development (React or similar). Backend architecture experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including stakeholder engagement, consensus building, and conflict resolution.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
• Option 2: 6 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
