The Boeing Company is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer (Associate/Experienced) to join the FishTools program within the Ground Mission Management Software (GMM) team in Chantilly, VA, Fairfax, VA, Aurora, CO or Mesa, AZ. We're seeking a highly talented, motivated, and creative software developer to engineer new solutions and support existing capabilities of an agile software program for the national intelligence community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Software development tasks including detailed software design, coding, and testing of customer desired features/user stories.
  • Analyzing customer requirements and ensuring software implementations meet functional requirements.
  • Briefing software designs and demonstrating software release functionality to peers.
  • Develop and sustain new and existing applications; as well as troubleshoot and resolve various software issues.
  • Contribute to the creation of new distributed components and interactions that align with the future system architecture. The existing multi-tiered system is developed on a cloud infrastructure with several consumer-facing web applications.

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance (a clearance active in the past 24 months is considered active) and SCI eligibility.
  • Willingness to sit for a CI Polygraph after start date.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing software for complex systems (Distributed Systems, Multi-Threaded and Multi-Process Applications) and a foundation in computer science and software development.
  • 1+ years of experience in object-oriented programming (Java preferred).
  • Experience with distributed version control systems such as GitHub, IBM Rational Team Concert, etc.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Experience with Java, HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, Firebug and JS frameworks (REACT, jQuery, jQuery UI, Open Layers, etc.), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, MongoDB, XML, SOAP, REST, WSDL/Web Service protocols.
  • Experience using dependency management tools such as Ivy, Maven, Gradle.
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOAP, RMI, REST APIs and interfaces.
  • Experience using cloud-based infrastructure (AWS).
  • Experience using automation server (Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of the GEOINT domain.
  • Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, continuous integration, and dependency management.
  • Familiarity with Agile or SAFe practices, including daily standup, User Stories, Sprints, and Release Planning.
  • Security Certification such as Security+ or CISSP.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

  • Pay range for Associate: $86,700 - $123,350.
  • Pay range for Experienced: $107,100 - $155,250.
