About the Role

The South Carolina Stingrays are seeking a Game Day Social Media Intern to assist with content creation during the 2025-2026 regular season. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in sports social media, digital marketing, and content production in a fast-paced, live-event environment.

Key Responsibilities

Capture in-game content, including photos and videos for use on team social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, etc.)
Assist in creating behind-the-scenes and fan engagement content before, during, and after games
Work closely with the Stingrays' marketing team to identify key moments for real-time social media updates
Help manage social media stories and live updates throughout games
Ensure all content aligns with the Stingrays' brand guidelines and tone

Requirements

Passion for sports, social media, and digital content creation
Strong understanding of social media trends, particularly in sports
Experience with mobile photography, videography, and editing apps (CapCut, Adobe Rush, Canva, etc.) is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to live-event situations
Must be available for most, if not all, home games during the 2025-2026 season unless communication in advance

Nice to Have

Previous experience in social media, sports marketing, or content creation is preferred but not required
Knowledge of the game of hockey is preferred, but not required
