About the Role

As the Go-To-Market Director in LEGO Licensing & Extended Line (LEL), you will be responsible for driving strategic priorities in close partnership with Marketing and Markets & Channels organizations. Your goal is to deliver impactful retail programs on a global scale that integrate LEGO licensed and branded partnership products as well as LEGO brick sets. This role involves leading strategic initiatives, collaborating with key accounts, and influencing how LEGO activates its brand across licensed and brick products to deepen consumer connection and retail presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the Go-To-Market strategy for the global seasons & occasions business (Holiday, Back-To-School, Halloween, Easter & Birthday) based on portfolio and audience direction delivered by marketing.
  • Oversee and coordinate executional workstreams linked to the Go-To-Market strategy.
  • Work closely with local colleagues, licensing, and brand partners to ensure a coordinated approach towards key accounts and successful sell-in of the portfolio.
  • Act as the internal expert on retailer and channel needs regarding seasonal spaces and sell-in requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Markets & Channels organization to understand opportunities and challenges for the LEGO brand in each channel and ensure the Go-To-Market approach addresses those.
  • Set the Go-To-Market strategy for seasons & occasions across B2B and LEGO branded channels, focusing on the US and Europe.
  • Translate account and channel feedback into commercial input to inform future portfolio strategy.
  • Set and track commercial targets, monitoring sell-in and sell-out figures.
  • Provide thought leadership on combining brick and non-brick portfolios at the point of sale to deliver impactful retailer programs.
  • Coordinate sell-in efforts across LEGO’s sales force and partner sales teams.
  • Serve as the primary contact point for the Markets & Channels organization and key account counterparts.
  • Independently lead a cross-functional team across Go-To-Market, Marketing, and Sales to deliver sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Extensive background working in a Sales or Go-To-Market function for a leading global entertainment company or consumer brand.
  • Proven track record in landing strategic priorities with major US accounts like Target, Walmart, and Amazon in a non-brick/non-toy capacity.
  • In-depth understanding of the sell-in processes and tools for seasonal buyers and entertainment councils of major retailers.
  • A performance-driven mindset with multiple years of key account management experience including P&L responsibility.
  • Proven experience in delivering sustainable growth over multiple years.
  • Ability to translate a go-to-market strategy into actionable workstreams for partners and teams.
  • Leadership style that inspires others, embracing opportunities and new perspectives.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively land key messages and drive decision-making with stakeholders.
