About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develops and presents design solutions following established design best practices, brand identity, and specific objectives.
• Designs original, high quality marketing collateral, including email campaigns, website assets, digital advertising, social media, and print materials.
• Collaborates with internal teams, including category management, legal, operations, sales, Solutions, and various marketing groups, as well as external agencies, to develop marketing and communications materials across print and digital channels, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and brand standards.
• Contributes original ideas and strategic thinking to design projects, ensuring creative execution aligns with brand integrity and business goals.
• Presents design concepts and revisions to stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design choices and incorporating feedback.
• Combines design with photography, video, and animation across platforms and channels.
• Reviews materials to ensure accuracy, correctness, adherence to brand standards and style guides, and proper use of trademarks.
• Assists with art direction during photo and video shoots, working with in-house and third-party photographers as needed.
• Manages the production lifecycle of projects from concept through delivery, including proofing, revisions, and final asset preparation.
• Ensures timely project completion by coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
• Stays current with design trends, tools, and technologies, and provides guidance on best practices.
• Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
• Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Associates degree in graphic design or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of three years' experience as a graphic designer, preferably within an agency or corporate creative team.
• Strong creative and conceptual abilities with a solid foundation in layout, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver).
• Strong portfolio showcasing both corporate and consumer-facing design work.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Ability to develop fresh design concepts and apply constructive feedback effectively.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills to balance creativity with business needs.

Nice to Have

• Bachelors degree preferred.
• Knowledge of video editing and motion graphics using After Effects and Premiere Pro is a strong plus.
