About the Role

Gray Media, or Gray, is a multimedia company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, formally known as Gray Television, Inc. The company is the nation's largest owner of top-rated local television stations and digital assets serving 113 television markets that collectively reach approximately 36 percent of US television households. The portfolio includes top-rated television stations, Telemundo Affiliates, Gray Digital Media, video production companies, and studio facilities. KOLO 8 News Now is the ABC, CW, and Telemundo affiliate serving the Reno/Sparks area, dedicated to community service and broadcasting news and other content.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a valued team member in various departments including news, production, sales, marketing, or engineering.
Gain hands-on experience in broadcast media through immersive participation in station activities.
Contribute to the station's operations and projects as part of the internship program.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a college/university (preferred Junior/Senior).
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Earning a degree in Journalism/Communications, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, News, Sports, or related fields.
Interest in gaining hands-on experience in the local media industry.

Nice to Have

Interest in interning in departments such as Marketing, Sales, Creative Services, Sports, Weather, News Production, News MMJ, or Engineering.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a college or university program.
Desire to gain practical experience in broadcast media.
