About the Role

Gray Media, or Gray, is a multimedia company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, formally known as Gray Television, Inc. The company is the nation's largest owner of top-rated local television stations and digital assets serving 113 television markets that collectively reach approximately 36 percent of US television households. The portfolio includes top-rated television stations, Telemundo Affiliates, digital media agencies, video production companies, and studio facilities. The internship program at KXII offers students an immersive, hands-on experience in broadcast media, providing opportunities to learn from seasoned professionals across various departments and potentially transition into full-time roles within Gray Media.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a valued team member in one of the station's departments such as news, production, sales, marketing, or engineering.
Gain hands-on experience by actively participating in daily station operations and projects.
Contribute to the creation of content, marketing efforts, or technical tasks depending on the department of interest.
Learn from experienced professionals and develop skills relevant to broadcast media.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably in Junior or Senior year.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Earning a degree in Journalism, Communications, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Sports, News, or related fields.
Interest in gaining hands-on experience in the local media industry.

Nice to Have

Interest in specific departments such as Marketing, Creative Services, Sports, Weather, News Production, News MMJ, or Engineering.

Qualifications

Enrollment in a relevant college/university program.
Desire to gain practical experience in broadcast media.
