About the Role

The company is the nation's largest owner of top-rated local television stations and digital assets serving 113 television markets that collectively reach approximately 36 percent of US television households. The portfolio includes top-rated television stations, digital media, video production companies, and studio facilities. WXIX-TV, FOX19 NOW, is the FOX affiliate serving Cincinnati and the Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana tri-state area, producing over 73 hours of news weekly and serving as the flagship station of the Cincinnati Bengals. The internship program offers an immersive, paid experience where interns serve as valued team members across various departments, providing hands-on learning and potential pathways to full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a valued team member in one of the station's departments such as news, production, sales, marketing, or engineering.
Gain hands-on experience in broadcast media by working alongside seasoned professionals.
Contribute to departmental projects and daily operations relevant to your area of interest.
Learn about the media industry through active participation and practical involvement.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a college/university, preferably Junior or Senior.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Earning a degree in Journalism, Communications, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, News, Sports, or related fields.
Interest in gaining hands-on experience in the local media industry.

Nice to Have

Interest in specific departments such as Marketing, Sales, Creative Services, Sports, Weather, News Production, News MMJ, or Engineering.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a college or university program.
Desire to gain practical experience in broadcast and media fields.
