Growth Automation Intern (Community)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated workflows across platforms like Zapier, Make, Notion, and the community platform Gradual to support scalable community engagement.
• Use webhooks and APIs to connect internal tools, sync community data, and streamline user journeys.
• Customize automations using Javascript and Python.
• Help automate logistics for community-led events, ambassador communications, onboarding sequences, and feedback collection.
• Collaborate with community and marketing teammates to identify friction points in operations and implement workflow improvements.
• Document automation flows and train non-technical team members to operate or update them as needed.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical or hybrid field.
• Hands-on experience with Zapier, Make, or similar platforms.
• Familiar with webhooks, REST APIs, JSON.
• Comfortable with JavaScript and Python to enhance automations.
• Strong communicator able to explain technical workflows to non-technical stakeholders.
• Curious, self-starting, and energized by solving operational puzzles and building scalable solutions.
• Passionate about startups, creators, and using AI to enhance storytelling and community connection.

Nice to Have

• Experience with automation tools and integrations.
• Knowledge of community management or growth strategies.
• Interest in AI and its application in storytelling and community building.

Qualifications

• Educational background in a technical or hybrid field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
