The Analytics Consultant provides strategic consultative services focused on health plan performance analytics, supporting UnitedHealth Group's position as a trusted advisor and carrier of choice. The role offers remote work flexibility for residents in Tampa, FL, Orlando, FL, or South Florida (West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support complex employer groups within Local Markets, generally within a geographic region.
  • Create compelling, client-specific insights and content for various client engagements.
  • Present a portion of client engagements based on client needs, resource availability, and development opportunities.
  • Focus on insights and storytelling by distilling compelling and actionable insights from data and reporting.
  • Navigate data, tools, and related resources to tell a story with actionable insights.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of adopted and proposed client solutions.
  • Collaborate with market strategic team members as needed.
  • Provide colleague feedback to support leadership goals around talent assessment, career planning, and growth opportunities.
  • Work with the broader Account Management Team and internal business partners to solve complex customer analytic needs.
  • Communicate information openly and professionally as a strategic analytic subject matter expert.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 2 years in a customer-facing role, preferably within sales, account management, TPA, or consulting environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare cost and quality topics and emerging industry trends.
  • Intermediate or higher skills in Office 365 applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills, preferably with director-level and higher audiences.
  • Driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Travel may be required up to 25% depending on customer needs.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in data analytics, data science, statistics, or underwriting.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Successful virtual presentation experience.

  • Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree.
