About the Role

The Sales Manager at Hilton Towers Arlington VA is responsible for achieving sales and revenue goals by effectively soliciting and securing new accounts. The role involves working closely with the Director of Sales to meet the hotel's market share objectives across various segments such as Leisure, Business Travel, Group, and SMERF. The position requires proactive sales efforts, relationship management, and participation in community and industry activities to promote the hotel and its offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals, as well as solicitation call goals.
  • Proactively conduct solicitation calls, conduct sales tours, and entertain clients specific to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel (BT), and/or Groups, as applicable by property.
  • Grow existing relationships with assigned accounts specific to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel (BT), and/or Groups, as applicable by property.
  • Monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the hotel and applicable departments.
  • Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations, as applicable.
  • Assist in implementing and/or participating in special promotions related to sales segments, such as sales blitzes.
  • Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and other functions as required by management.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous Hotel Sales experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
  • Developed verbal and written communication skills to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence others.
  • Experience with professional selling skills such as opening, probing, supporting, closing.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organization and presentation skills.

Nice to Have

  • Previous Hotel Sales experience.
