Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver timely and organized services for customers, ensuring they realize the full value of Cloudflare's products and advising on best practices.
  • Gather business and technical requirements, develop solution designs, including high-level and low-level designs, scripts, procedures, and deployment plans, to build, migrate, and deliver solutions for customers.
  • Implement changes in the Cloudflare environment following the customer's change management process and provide guidance on configuration and integration.
  • Troubleshoot implementation issues and collaborate with Customer Support, Engineering, and other teams to resolve technical escalations.
  • Contribute to organizational success through knowledge sharing, documentation, answering technical questions, and developing operational assets like templates, automation scripts, procedures, and workflows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Customer Engineer, Security Engineer, Implementation Engineer, or similar.
  • Knowledge of layers and protocols of the OSI model, including TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, HTTP.
  • Understanding of Internet and security technologies such as DDoS, Web Application Firewall, Certificates, DNS, CDN, Analytics, and Logs.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Bash, and a desire to expand scripting skills.
  • Experience with security aspects of internet properties, including DNS, WAFs, Bot Management, Rate Limiting, (M)TLS, and certificates.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization topics such as Speed, Latency, Caching, HTTP/3, TLSv1.3.
  • Working experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and strong experience with APIs.
  • Ability to manage projects, work to deadlines, prioritize demands, and handle uncertainty.
  • Fluency in English; fluency in a second European language is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Relevant professional experience of 5+ years in a technical customer-facing role.
