Job Description

About the Role

The Territory Product Specialist partners with the assigned Sales Division to drive sales and new customer acquisition by providing technical and feature knowledge of products. The role involves delivering product training, promoting the brand within dealer organizations, customers, and employees, and supporting multiple product lines within a specified region. It includes demonstrating equipment, performing comparisons, and supporting product management and customer engagement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in driving sales and new customer acquisition by providing technical and feature knowledge of products to various audiences.
  • Provide effective product training and promote the development of the brand within dealer organizations, customers, and employees.
  • Perform product demonstrations, comparisons to competitive equipment, and support start-up of new customers.
  • Schedule and participate in activities such as dealer calls, demonstrations, customer visits, farm shows, open houses, and training sessions.
  • Assist dealer partners in assessing customer operational technical needs and advise on suitable products, including precision farming technology.
  • Communicate and demonstrate technical and feature knowledge of products and precision farming tools like GPS steering, mapping, and telematics.
  • Set up and demonstrate equipment as needed, ensuring proper documentation and submission of demo reports in CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Support product management with creation of training and promotional materials, and provide technical support at farm shows and group presentations.
  • Support product evaluations and testing of new products, including pre-series machinery.
  • Adhere to company values, policies, safety rules, laws, and regulations at all times.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical product demonstrations and training.
  • Knowledge of agricultural equipment and precision farming technology such as GPS steering, mapping, and telematics.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to dealers, end-users, and internal teams.
  • Experience scheduling and participating in customer and dealer activities like farm shows and open houses.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools for documentation and reporting, such as Salesforce.
  • Ability to evaluate equipment and perform feature/pricing comparisons.
  • Willingness to support product evaluations, testing, and promotional activities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the agricultural or machinery industry.
  • Familiarity with product management and creation of training materials.
  • Experience supporting product launches and new product evaluations.
