Industrial Account Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing customer accounts within the assigned geographical territory.
• Develop new opportunities to support company growth objectives in the territory.
• Travel approximately 25-50% overnight within the territory of San Diego, Riverside, Orange County, Imperial, and San Bernardino.
• Prioritize opportunities and resources effectively, working collaboratively with the Sales Engineer, Regional Sales Manager, and other Industrial Account Managers.
• Communicate effectively and timely, both verbally and in writing, regarding company capabilities, products, pricing, lead-times, credit policies, customer needs, and expectations.
• Utilize a combination of hunting and farming sales strategies with a commitment to excellent customer service to build lasting customer relationships.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of outside solution-oriented sales experience to OEMs.
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (preferred).
• Willingness to travel up to 25-50% overnight within the territory.
• Experience selling to OEMs of industrial products is preferred but not required.
• Experience selling rubber, polymer, and/or vinyl products to OEMs would be helpful.
• Answering application questions regarding employment sponsorship and willingness to travel.

Nice to Have

• Experience in OEM account management.
• Experience in industrial sales.
• Experience with plastics injection molding (preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• OEM account management: 3 years (required).
• Industrial sales: 3 years (required).
• Plastics injection molding: 2 years (preferred).
