About the Role

As the Institutional Gatekeeper Marketing Senior Manager at Capital Group, you will be responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of thought leadership targeted at professional buyers and institutional clients. You will leverage marketing best practices to attract new clients, increase loyalty, and support long-term strategic initiatives. The role involves partnering with senior stakeholders, understanding the business landscape, and translating complex ideas into accessible content to position Capital Group as a premier asset manager for large institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of all aspects of Capital Group's thought leadership targeted at professional buyers and institutional clients.
  • Deliver on annual business objectives and long-term strategic initiatives supporting the business.
  • Set marketing priorities for the thought leadership content team and oversee delivery teams.
  • Serve as the primary marketing interface to senior stakeholders leading gatekeeper and institutional sales teams.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to ensure execution aligns with marketing and business objectives.
  • Leverage data to measure success and build a deep understanding of the business landscape, audiences, clients, and the competitive environment.
  • Develop messaging and content in areas such as fixed income, target date, insurance, and portfolio construction based on industry knowledge.
  • Create content supported by analytics for engagement with sophisticated buyers including institutional consultants, clients, financial intermediaries, and broker-dealer home offices.
  • Translate complex ideas into easy-to-understand and accessible concepts.
  • Partner with Marketing, Distribution, and Investment Services to deliver annual sales and commercial goals.
  • Develop content for multiple channels including digital properties, white papers, conference presentations, and pitch books.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of finance, portfolio construction, and asset management industry topics.
  • Experience leading and achieving long-term strategic objectives and delivering business outcomes.
  • Ability to partner with quantitative experts to create data-supported content.
  • Experience generating robust, analytics-supported content for sophisticated audiences.
  • Capability to translate difficult ideas into accessible concepts.
  • Experience developing content for multiple channels such as digital media, white papers, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate projects through organizational processes.
  • In-depth knowledge necessary to collaborate effectively with Investment Services and Investment Group teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience in finance, asset management, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of developing strategic content and marketing initiatives for institutional clients.

Benefits & Perks

  • Highly competitive base salary ranging from $178,847 to $304,040.
  • Eligibility for an individual annual performance bonus.
  • Participation in Capital's annual profitability bonus.
  • Retirement plan with Capital contributing 15% of eligible earnings.
