Intern: Power BI (Fall 2025)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Deciding on the right visualization software for the project
• Speaking with end users to gather their requirements and expectations
• Analyzing the data available in SPIDR
• Creating mockups for dashboards
• Building the dashboards using PowerBI or alternative tools
• Providing end user training opportunities

Requirements

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Data Science at an accredited school
• Completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship
• Must be of good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75
• Fall intern may work up to 30 hours per week
• Available from August 2025 - December 2025
• Strong understanding of AI tools
• Experience with multiple programming languages and understanding of documentation
• Ability to organize thoughts concisely
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Patient, understanding, and empathetic personality

Nice to Have

• Experience with PowerBI, Tableau or related software
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python
• Skills in Data Analytics and Visualization
• Experience in Data Engineering or Data Science
• Strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant degree program with at least 30 semester hours completed
• Good academic standing with a GPA of at least 2.75
