Key Responsibilities
- Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards and meet customer expectations.
- Manages technical and non-technical aspects of the project.
- Plans, schedules, and ensures timely completion of the project.
- Assembles project teams and manages resource allocation and day-to-day operations of the project.
- Serves as liaison between team members and management team regarding projects.
- Incorporates quality measures and standards to project deliverables.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & or Experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge and experience in own job discipline and broadening capabilities.
- Ability to work with varying project management methodologies/frameworks (i.e., Waterfall, Scrum/Agile) and tools for team collaboration, project tracking/management, and issue/risk resolution.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Change Management, Fit/Gap Analysis, Project Administration, Project Controls, Project Documentation, Project Implementation, Project Lifecycle Management (PLM), Project Planning, Project Scheduling, Project Scoping, Scope Management, Stakeholder Management, Technical Project Management, Budgetary Controls, Project Management Software.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, PSM).
- Aerospace and defense industry experience.
Qualifications
- Educational background: Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years relevant experience or equivalent.
