IT Project Manager (Part-Time)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure team stand ups (Kanban board).
• Oversee Infrastructure Team's responses to annual Inspector General (IG) Audit taskings.
• Oversee Infrastructure Team's ATO POAM mitigation efforts.
• Oversee IT management processes including Operations, Change Management, Configuration Management, Build/Release Management, and InfoSec Management.
• Manage critical tickets, including outages, by assigning to correct team members, creating Spot Reports, following up, communicating with government managers, and ensuring quick resolution.
• Ensure all software and hardware are supported, patched, and up to date; compile and send out build/release reports.
• Partner with the information security team to ensure compliance with security requirements and adherence to IT policies and best practices.
• Identify inefficiencies that impede progress and recommend procedural changes or automation to increase efficiency.
• Support the team in creating and maintaining documentation for standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in an enterprise IT environment.
• 5+ years of technical management and/or leadership experience.
• Passion for technology, emerging trends, and industry updates.
• Understanding of core ITIL service management principles and experience with ticketing systems.
• High sense of urgency and ownership with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments.
• Strong work ethic, adherence to deadlines, and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Understanding of scrum and agile processes.
• Effective organizational and note-taking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively with government managers and technical directors.
• Experience in implementing process and quality improvements.
• Knowledge of IT compliance, risk management, and security practices.
• Experience with change management, incident, and problem management.
• Demonstrated experience with Jira.
