About the Role

The IT Project Manager (SYSANALYSIS) provides project management oversight for the implementation of ServiceNow projects within the Defense Logistics Agency. The role involves monitoring development projects, supporting applications through agile methodologies, serving as a scrum master, facilitating engagement between customers and technical experts, and ensuring project progress aligns with quality, schedule, and objectives. The position requires coordination with senior personnel across government and industry, and advising on requirements impacting release schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides project management oversight for the implementation of ServiceNow projects.
  • Monitors and tracks development projects to ensure platform governance and quality control.
  • Supports ServiceNow applications through the use of agile development methodology.
  • Serves as project scrum master with responsibility for planning, coordinating, directing and controlling the efforts of an integrated scrum teams.
  • Facilitates engagement between customers and technical subject matter experts to identify and document opportunities, assess impacts, and mitigate risks to development plans.
  • Develops and employs tools and methods to track progress throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluates the status and progress of work in terms of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness in achieving objectives.
  • Updates plans and recommends changes to agile procedures in response to evolving circumstances, resources, or objectives, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met.
  • Represents the agency at meetings and conferences involving senior personnel throughout DoD, other government agencies, and private industry.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates the accomplishment of requirements, establishing and publishing priorities.
  • Advises on major or conflicting requirements impacting the product release roadmap or schedules.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Experience with applying IT/OT program and project management policies, principles, methods, and practices.
  • Ability to define project resources, milestones, and develop project plans and schedules.
  • Experience leading and influencing multi-disciplined project teams and negotiating for project resources.
  • Monitoring IT/OT project activities, addressing and solving project problems, and communicating project status to stakeholders.
  • Utilization of information systems technologies, telecommunications, networking, and systems architecture.
  • Managing and coordinating with appropriate action officers, providing timely status updates, and ensuring on-time delivery.
  • One year of specialized experience directly related to the duties of the position, including project management and technical skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ServiceNow applications and agile development methodology.
  • Knowledge of DoD certification and acquisition requirements.
  • Experience working with government and private sector IT/OT projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent, with one year of specialized experience at GS-12 or equivalent.
  • Possession of DoD acquisition certification within required timeframes.
  • Completion of 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every 2 years.
