MGR II PROJECT MANAGEMENT ENGINEERING (Remote) 1

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility of managing 2-3 complex projects with successful project planning & execution to meet project charters and internal as well as customer requirements.
• Manage & develop a team of 3-6 project managers, providing coaching, mentoring, and creating individual development plans.
• Envision the BU/segment future & develop and implement PMO operational strategy.
• Drive diverse and inclusion workplace by recognizing and respecting individual differences and perspectives.
• Identify and manage stakeholder expectations, setting up cadence with stakeholders for smooth project execution.
• Manage Project Capital, Expense, and Resource Expenditures to stay within budget and meet financial metrics.
• Create, monitor, and control risk management plans for effective project risk management.
• Support alternatives evaluation, variance analysis, and cost calculations through economic analysis.
• Develop the Project Communication Plan, lead periodic management reviews, report project progress, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Develop project schedules, resource requirements, and budget forecasts; track and report on project progress and product cost.
• Perform integrated Change Management Control.
• Address and resolve issues/impediments in projects.
• Lead continuous improvement of existing processes and implementation of new project components.
• Monitor internal resources, resolve operational issues, and ensure project implementation on time, on cost, and on quality.

Requirements

• Graduate or master's degree in engineering with 15-18 years of experience.
• 8+ years of Project Management experience in industrial product or hardware domain.
• Distributed and multi-cultural team management experience.
• In-depth understanding of Toll Gate / Stage Gate process in Product development.
• Experience in effective project management strategies and tactics.
• Experience managing teams including performance management, rewards, and recognition.
• Experience in staffing, mentoring, and coaching teams.
• Extensive experience in stakeholder management and requirement management.
• Exposure to manufacturing processes such as moulding, stamping, and plating.
• Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in project planning, execution, and risk management.
• Experience leading teams to success, collaborating across boundaries, and developing communication and responsibility matrices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project and MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proficient in project ROI analysis (NPV, IRR, Payback period).
• Certified PMP or equivalent project management certification.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to regulatory approval processes such as UL, CSA, CQC, VDE, etc.
• Experience in terminal and connector industry or products.
• Exposure to Agile Project Management.

Qualifications

• Graduate or master's degree in engineering.
• 15-18 years of professional experience.
• 8+ years of project management experience in relevant domain.
