About the Role

The IT UX and Tech Support role at Ingalls Shipbuilding involves collaborating with developers, IT Operations, and business stakeholders to ensure a seamless user experience. The position focuses on conducting user research, usability testing, and translating complex IT services for non-technical audiences. The role supports the deployment of IT products and services through communication, user guides, and presentations, contributing to the company's mission of building advanced naval ships and defense technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with developers, IT Operations and business stakeholders to ensure a seamless user experience
Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user needs, behaviors and pain points
Translate and communicate to the business and non-technical stakeholders complex IT services and products
Analyze feedback and usage data to continuously improve user interfaces and experience
Create communications and user guides to support deployments
Create presentations to communicate to the business of existing and upcoming IT Operations and Delivery products and services

Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree and 9 years of related experience
Master's Degree and 7 years of related experience
Must be a CURRENT employee

Nice to Have

Strong interpersonal, leadership, coordination and communication (oral and written) skills
Knowledge and experience with new IT products at Ingalls, including Okta, Yubikey, Zscaler and M36

Qualifications

Relevant experience with user experience, IT support, or related fields
Experience with IT products such as Okta, Yubikey, Zscaler, M36 (preferred)
