About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within existing application frameworks.
• Apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Capture accurate requirements and work closely with team members to prioritize tasks and scope of development.
• Identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment.
• Contribute towards developing and adhering to best practices for developing scalable and relevant applications.

Requirements

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Hartford, CT or be willing to relocate to the area.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Spring Boot.
• Ability to connect with business teams and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Effective communication skills with multiple collaborators such as DBA, Infrastructure team, Network team, Business, Architecture group.

Nice to Have

• Experience with application development and support.
• Sound knowledge of SQL, Advanced SQL, Stored Procedures and Database design.
• Basic knowledge of Design patterns.
• Knowledge of DevOps processes and technologies (Jenkins, Cloudbee, Terraform etc).
• Ability to work in a diverse team/multiple team member environment.
• Exposure to Agile methodology of project execution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of education (if applicable).
