Java Kafka Integration Consultant

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design and implement data inbound/outbound strategies for various systems, including AS400, SAP, and other ERP platforms.
• Build Event-driven APIs using Kafka for real-time data streaming.
• Create and maintain REST APIs for data access and consumption by other applications.
• Lead application developers to implement data integrations to ERP platforms.
• Monitor and optimize integration performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, ensuring data quality and accuracy.

Requirements

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX OR be willing to relocate to the area.
• This position may require travel to project locations.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Java, Kafka, REST API, DevOps, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with data ingestion and extraction from ERP systems like AS400, SAP and Dynamics.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including building containerized and serverless applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
