Kafka Streaming Engineer (Confluent Focus)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Kafka-based real-time streaming pipelines.
• Work with Kafka Streams, ksqlDB, or Flink for event processing.
• Build connectors and integrate Kafka with databases, APIs, and data lakes.
• Collaborate with backend teams and DevOps for CI/CD integration.
• Monitor and optimize performance, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Kafka or Confluent Kafka.
• Proficient in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Experience with ksqlDB, Kafka Streams, or Flink/Spark Streaming.
• Strong understanding of serialization formats (Avro/Protobuf).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have

• Confluent Cloud experience.
• Familiarity with Schema Registry and Kafka Connect.
• Prior work in financial or highly regulated domains.

Qualifications
