About the Role

The Key Account Manager - Swine - Remote position at ADM Animal Nutrition involves developing relationships with strategic accounts in the swine and poultry sectors, primarily focusing on regional and national feed companies. The role is part of a leading animal nutrition and ingredient business that offers innovative products and solutions to meet customer needs, with a focus on achieving sales targets and expanding the specialty ingredient portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads
  • Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects
  • Create plans and deliver presentations on company products
  • Communicate customer and prospect product pain points to appropriate departments
  • Track all sales activities in the company CRM system
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers
  • Meet and/or exceed sales quotas
  • Develop and update comprehensive territory business plans including financial targets per account
  • Attain established fiscal year sales with Feed additives and specialty ingredients
  • Identify potential accounts within the assigned territory and analyze financial goals and opportunities via Salesforce
  • Work with product managers and technical sales staff to develop strategies for growing the specialty ingredient portfolio
  • Monitor and report feed ingredient pricing and industry trends
  • Collaborate with customer service professionals to efficiently service customer needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with 3+ years of knowledge in animal nutrition, including current trends in production, nutrition, and specialty additives
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or Technical Sales Manager
  • Ability to solve problems and build strong relationships with key customers
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective presentation and sales skills around specialty additives
  • Training on and mastery of new specialty additive technologies
  • Willingness to travel 40-60% of the time
  • Successful completion of a background check

Nice to Have

  • Experience with feed industry trends and competitor activities
  • Knowledge of the legacy ADM portfolio

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in animal nutrition or related field
