About the Role

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in Dallas, TX. The Lead Brand Designer supports AT&T's Brand Design team within the Marketing & Growth Organization, contributing to building and elevating the company's iconic brand legacy through innovative and customer-centered design work. The role involves leading brand identity projects, creating original design concepts, authoring guidelines, and collaborating across departments to ensure project success. The candidate will bring 7+ years of experience in brand design and identity systems, with a focus on building brand love and delivering award-winning work that aligns with AT&T's brand principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualizes, plans, and produces a diverse range of brand design assets and identity projects that build brand love and deliver against the brief.
  • Owns and is accountable for assigned project outcomes while adhering to deadlines, budgets, and staffing needs to maintain quality of output.
  • Pro-actively manages project status with practice leads and leadership to ensure expectations are aligned.
  • Cultivates fresh ideas and nurtures a creative culture that inspires others to excel.
  • Prepares and presents ideas to senior-level executives, balancing brevity with core content needs.
  • Attends and contributes to internal/external work sessions, critiques, and presentations.
  • Creates original design concepts in accordance with AT&T brand identity and design principles.
  • Coordinates the production of assets and authors guidelines, working with external partners when necessary.
  • Leverages established design processes focused on insights, research, and objectives-based iteration, refinement, and execution.
  • Collaborates frequently with departments such as Strategy, Insights, Project Management, Brand Management, Business Units, and Marketing to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in brand design and identity systems creation.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Microsoft programs, and other design tools.
  • Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and represent design thinking through various tools.
  • Experience in creating original design concepts aligned with brand identity and principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in brand, graphic, or communication design, or equivalent experience.
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple tasks under short-term deadlines and ambiguity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-design partners and senior leadership.

Nice to Have

  • In-house corporate experience.
  • Experience with award-winning brand design work for large consumer-facing brands.

Qualifications

  • BFA/BS (or equivalent experience) in brand, graphic, or communication design.
