The Lead Director, Digital Product, is responsible for product management leadership for multiple product teams, defining product vision and strategy, managing backlogs, and ensuring product success within a cross-disciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and socialize the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in collaboration with the 5-in-the-box team; assess and refine as needed.
  • Establish Epics or initiatives aligned to strategic programs and deliver upon the product strategy.
  • Partner with the business general manager and stakeholders to make investment decisions and develop business cases.
  • Translate customer and business needs into short-term and long-term product strategies by creating initiatives/epics to meet targeted outcomes.
  • Connect the roadmap to specific value drivers that contribute to business priorities, objectives, key results, and strategic programs.
  • Align roadmaps, backlogs, capacity, timelines, and commitments across product areas to ensure delivery.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and meetings, including PI Planning, in partnership with the product leadership team.
  • Define epics, features, and partner with product owners to develop user stories, identify dependencies, and size work ahead of future quarters.
  • Use performance data to establish feedback loops, monitor product health, and develop insights and hypotheses.
  • Track product OKRs and KPIs to understand progress, socialize updates, and reinforce objectives.
  • Coordinate product launches, including beta testing, user feedback collection, and documentation.
  • Set direction and provide continuous feedback for discovery work, ensuring focus on exploration.
  • Partner with market and customer insight teams to understand needs.
  • Showcase product delivery and final output to stakeholders.
  • Communicate progress, insights, and risks across the business with key stakeholders.
  • Lead the cross-functional team, including partnership with business GMs.
  • Grow and develop the product team by coaching, maintaining quality, and establishing team norms.
  • Promote a customer-centric culture where teams monitor product health metrics and proactively react to opportunities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in technical product management, focusing on building technical products and services.
  • 5+ years of experience working in the healthcare payor industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in building and managing technical product teams using Agile frameworks.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% annually and support central time hours.
  • Strong decision-making skills in fast-moving environments.
  • Experience with cross-functional team alignment amid ambiguity.
  • Ability to work with Cloud computing technologies and Micro-services architectures.
  • Experience leading large-scale modernization programs.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, management, analytical, and people skills.
  • Data-driven decision making and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Basic understanding of core programming, cloud, and AI/ML concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with large-scale modernization programs in technical capacity.
  • Experience leading product transformation within a large enterprise.
  • Management consulting experience.
  • Agile Certification.
