About the Role

Grundfos is seeking a Lead Global Key Account Manager to join their Industry team, focusing on the Food & Beverage vertical. The role involves advancing end user engagement by building comprehensive commercial knowledge of the industry globally, handling key accounts strategically, and transforming end user engagement within the vertical. This remote position can be based anywhere in the US, Canada, or Mexico, and aims to position Grundfos as a full-suite solution and consulting partner in water systems and services, contributing to solving water and climate challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or contribute to the development of key account development strategy, including industry trends, screening targets, and value proposition development for the specific vertical.
  • Effectively develop and grow selected Key Accounts globally, executing strategies and action plans to achieve significant commercial impact.
  • Work closely with a matrix sales organization to focus on both HQ and local levels, ensuring high customer satisfaction, loyalty, and internal coordination.
  • Proactively follow up, analyze, and report on Key Accounts, maintaining regular internal and external dialogues.
  • Develop knowledge and competency to drive strategic conversations and value selling dialogues with customers to position Grundfos as a knowledgeable and preferred partner.
  • Steer yearly negotiations with Key Accounts.
  • Monitor and report on pipeline, order intake, sales, and profitability across global accounts.
  • Ensure quality opportunity pipeline and high hit rate.
  • Share knowledge with the team and take responsibility for own competence development.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a highly customer-centric and collaborative perception across functions and divisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; a combined engineering and commercial background is beneficial.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a large international company in a similar role.
  • Industry background with good understanding of Food & Beverage industry trends and production processes.
  • Experience working in B2B with end users.
  • Proactiveness and the ability to direct others.
  • Good business understanding and strategic/tactical thinking skills.
  • Advanced negotiation skills.
  • Great communication skills; bilingual capability is a benefit.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills across borders and levels.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to summarize learnings in a structured way.
  • Experience working with CRM and MS Office, especially Excel.
