Sr. Commercial Account Consultant

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Directly manage the Client Insurance Program for assigned accounts, utilizing agency management system, and oversee 4-6 complex accounts.
• Manage the execution and delivery of client calendar/timeline milestones, conduct meetings, and communicate with clients to assess and improve customer satisfaction.
• Proactively maintain positive client relationships, analyze situations, make proactive decisions, and guide teams to follow through.
• Provide consultative guidance to clients, making strategic risk management plan design recommendations aligned with clients' business strategies and priorities.
• Maintain strong knowledge of carrier/vendor products and services, delivering appropriate recommendations and solutions to clients.
• Present financial and risk management reports, including renewal projections, budget planning, and risk assessments.
• Conduct pre-renewal planning meetings, manage renewal negotiations, and develop strategies for renewal and account growth.
• Manage ongoing carrier/TPA/vendor negotiations, monitor revenue levels, and collaborate with producers on revenue and fee strategies.
• Develop and expand business relationships with key client decision makers, often at the C-suite level.
• Represent MMA at industry events, conferences, and community activities.
• Serve as an internal subject matter expert, ensuring maintenance of files, service plans, and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Review client contracts, ensure security and compliance, and protect sensitive information such as PHI and PII.
• Maintain mastery of property and casualty products, market dynamics, and funding arrangements.

Requirements

• Licensed Texas P&C Agent.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• 15+ years of Account Executive experience, including at least 5-7 years in a Senior or Executive role, preferred.
• 15+ years of Commercial Account Consultant or Executive experience preferred.
• CIC & CRM, or CPCU designation preferred; if no designation, then 15+ years of relevant experience.
• High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficient in communication, typing, interpersonal relations, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and execute short and long-term goals.

Nice to Have

• Experience with agency management systems such as Sagitta and ImageRight.
• Knowledge of property and casualty products, market dynamics, and funding arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 15+ years of relevant account management or executive experience.
• Licensing as a Texas P&C Agent.
