About the Role

As a Lead Software Engineer on/in PGS Investment Accounting Technology, you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to design, develop and maintain Power Platform, Dataverse, Power BI. You will code, test and debug new and existing applications as you implement capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers. This role is based in Tampa, FL, following a hybrid work structure with at least 3 days per week on-site. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic and tactical solutions for complex business challenges promptly, ensuring code follows latest coding practices and industry standards.
  • Engage in development using technologies such as Power Platform, Dataverse, PowerBI, Jira, Excel, SQL, Python, Oracle, SQL Server, Bit Bucket, and programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript.
  • Analyze system requirements of existing solutions to modernize the tech stack and remove technical impediments.
  • Collaborate with product owners to understand needs and define feature stories, work with tech leads on technical design, and coordinate with team members to deliver solutions with significant business impact.
  • Write unit, integration tests, and functional automation, addressing problems discovered by quality assurance or product support.
  • Design automated testing to ensure system functionality aligns with scalable business requirements.
  • Design and develop custom solutions for system changes, including full stack applications.
  • Lead large cross-functional projects supporting company initiatives and mentor junior staff.
  • Prepare communications and presentations on system solutions and enhancements.
  • Take ownership of production issues, analyzing and collaborating with relevant areas for resolution.
  • Bring a strong understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, provide input, coach team members, and embed learning and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Full stack development experience.
  • Experience with Power Platform, Dataverse, PowerBI, Oracle, SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with SQL, Cloud native development, Microsoft Power Platform, Connectors, and related tools.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and familiarity with the Software Development Life-Cycle.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an ongoing basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Cognos, .NET, Java, Python, or similar platforms.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics and Information Technology, Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
