About the Role

The Architecture Innovation team at Homecare Homebase, LLC (HCHB) is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to lead development efforts on innovative systems and features focused on large data sets, distributed systems, and Hybrid Cloud Environments. The role involves designing, building, and shipping forward-thinking solutions that connect thousands of devices in near real-time to support clinicians and improve patient care. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of developers in designing and writing high-quality code to commercialize platforms using industry standard development patterns and practices.
  • Collaborate with other Leads and Senior Architects to drive code transformation through peer reviews, code reviews, and SAFe planning.
  • Be the first technical user of the platform(s), developing production-level code against them.
  • Maintain an understanding of modern software development and CI/CD practices, including Git, Azure DevOps, and Release Management.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for knowledge transfer of the platforms within the development organization.
  • Manage developers through goal alignment on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements

  • 4+ years managing developers within a team organization.
  • 7+ years of development experience with the .NET stack, with recent experience in .NET Core 2.x and above.
  • 3-5 years of development experience with REST/WebAPI services, including familiarity with frameworks and technologies such as Istio and Kubernetes.
  • 3-5 years working in a fast-paced Agile environment with senior colleagues.
  • 1-3 years of development experience with Azure technologies, including PaaS development and distributed systems patterns.
  • 1-3 years of development experience with relational databases, preferably MS SQL 2014 or above.
  • 1-2 years of development experience with machine learning platforms, taking experiments to production.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with distributed systems and cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and tools.
  • Previous experience working in healthcare or clinical software environments.
