About the Role

Reserv is an insurtech creating and incubating cutting-edge AI and automation technology to bring efficiency and simplicity to claims. Founded by insurtech veterans with deep experience in SaaS and digital claims, Reserv is venture-backed by Bain Capital and Altai Ventures and began operations in May 2022. We are focused on automating highly manual tasks to tackle long-standing problems in claims and set a new standard for TPAs, insurance technology providers, and adjusters alike. As a full stack engineer at Reserv, you'll be at the heart of our growth journey, shaping the future of our technology and platform. You are a passionate engineer with strong backend skills, and the desire to build high-quality, scalable, and maintainable applications. Key Responsibilities

Work with our tech stack: Ruby/Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript, and others when needed
Help distill the core interactions a customer of Reserv will need to be successful in using our product, from the homepage, to the developer dashboard, to documentation centers and SDKs
Ship frontend and backend components that improve the Reserv product experience
Commit on your first day, and deploy code continuously
Collaborate closely with our product ops, design, and sales teams as we scale our product & engineering teams
Mentor junior engineers
Communicate ideas and specifications through detailed, precise writing
Influence the culture, values, and processes of a growing engineering team
Enjoy and have fun being creative and thinking outside of the box

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying production-ready software using Ruby (and frameworks such as Ruby on Rails) and some familiarity or willingness to work with modern front-end technologies (React, Typescript) when needed
Proven track record of delivering high-quality, reliable software
Deep expertise in backend development, including API design, data modeling, performance optimization, and security best practices
Versatility and willingness to learn, with comfort stepping into front-end or infrastructure tasks when needed
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams
Bonus: Ruby (Ruby on Rails), Python, React, Typescript
