Lead Software Engineer - Fraud Technology

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex enterprise applications.
• Drive the implementation of large-scale Fraud Detection and prevention platforms, and integration with various downstream applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and system design.
• Be the SME for the voice Fraud platform which includes third-party platforms.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of all developed systems.
• Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk.
• Resolve coding, testing, and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature.
• Mentor less experienced software engineers.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
• Lead team to achieve objectives.
• Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on complex enterprise solutions.
• 5+ years of experience in financial and fraud prevention systems and integration.
• 5+ years of designing, developing, and testing large-scale systems.

Nice to Have

• Excellent communication skill both verbal and written.
• Strong Python/Java development skills, particularly in financial systems.
• Strong understanding of how Fraud prevention and detection systems work in a large financial and banking systems.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and building large-scale, distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, system integration, and design patterns.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working in agile, fast-paced environments.
• Demonstrated experience in leading the architecture, design, and development of high-performance, low-latency Java applications, as well as overseeing the implementation of large-scale data ingestion pipelines and real-time analytics platforms.
