MACHINE LEARNING SCIENTIST

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop machine learning solutions and services leveraging state-of-the-art techniques.
• Apply software engineering skills to develop and deploy solutions that can scale to millions of requests per second with millisecond latency.
• Write new functions or applications in programming languages to conduct analyses.
• Utilize broad and deep knowledge of machine learning and software engineering to contribute to the roadmap of Best Buy's core machine learning capabilities.
• Analyze, manipulate, or process large sets of data using statistical software.
• Research, develop, and apply cutting-edge machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to build innovative technologies, services, and products.
• Contribute to a team developing and operationalizing models, algorithms, and production-quality codebases that enhance customer experiences and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical & Computer Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience building ML and/or AI driven products.
• Experience with data science/analytics programming languages such as Python, R, and/or Julia.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning methods.
• At least 1 year of experience building production-grade ML models using deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, MXNet, or ONNX.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in relevant engineering or computer science fields
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in ML/AI product development
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Julia
• Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, MXNet, or ONNX
