About the Role

The Major Account Executive role at Canon U.S.A., Inc. involves selling Canon's hardware and software technology-based solutions to companies within an assigned account list. The position requires living within a reasonable commuting distance to Irvine, CA, and focuses on developing strategic relationships, penetrating accounts, and supporting customer needs through Canon's products and services. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to penetrate accounts with key decision makers at the Major Account level, focusing on placing Canon equipment and solutions in new accounts.
  • Report customer activity to management, identifying customer requirements, competitive trends, and changing environments.
  • Develop strategic plans to address customer requirements on a local basis, including short-term and long-term goals.
  • Provide marketing, technical, and administrative support to internal departments of the named accounts to ensure outstanding relations and customer support.
  • Develop plans to introduce and place Canon technology, services, software, and third-party solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Establish high-level relationships with the customer base to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Gain new market share through strategic prospecting and effective resource utilization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of related experience in office technology, B2B, outside sales.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build solid working relationships with various businesses.
  • Interest in learning new technology within an evolving industry.
  • Ability to work autonomously with excellent time management skills.
  • Some travel within the local market, including potential overnights, with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with digital imaging solutions or related technology.
  • Previous success in strategic account management or enterprise sales.

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not supported.
  • Reside in the United States at the time of hire.
