About the Role

The Brand Activation & Events Manager at New Era Cap, LLC. is responsible for the development, planning, and execution of a wide range of events and activations to promote brand awareness and drive product sell-through. This role involves overseeing large-scale league events, tradeshows, internal company events, and pop-up retail locations, with a focus on creative design, logistics, vendor management, and on-site operations. The position is based at the company's headquarters in Buffalo, NY, and requires on-site presence five days a week in a collaborative, dynamic environment that values individuality and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute event and activation projects across league licenses such as MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, and others.
  • Support the Senior Manager in designing, producing, and executing league-driven pop-up retail locations, events, tradeshows, and major league moments like the Super Bowl and All-Star Game.
  • Coordinate and execute multiple internal and external events annually, including company-wide events, sales summits, and community projects.
  • Maintain relationships with external vendors and agencies, ensuring quality, brand standards, and adherence to budgets and timelines.
  • Act as the liaison between New Era and production/fabrication vendors to meet project needs regarding budget, timing, and brand standards.
  • Manage the order fulfillment process from design approval through production, delivery, and on-site installation.
  • Oversee logistics, vendor and staff management, and on-site operations to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Serve as the creative and design expert for events, collaborating with CAD designers on space plans and renderings.
  • Conceptualize innovative on-site events and activations around major brand initiatives and league moments.
  • Develop impactful presentation and engagement strategies to increase brand awareness and product sell-through.
  • Track and manage project budgets and collaborate with marketing, sales, e-commerce, creative, and merchandising teams to ensure brand consistency.

Requirements

  • Excellent project management, organization, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience acting as the point-person at installations, working with vendors in retail, event, and tradeshow settings.
  • Knowledge of print production, fabrication methods, and materials used in retail production.
  • Strong attention to detail with experience in visual merchandising, fixturing, and product presentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot on-site, anticipate problems, and provide creative solutions.
  • Passion for consumer experiences, visual merchandising, events, and activations that drive traffic and conversions.
  • Energetic, outgoing personality with a sense of urgency and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and work collaboratively across organizational structures.
  • Experience with space planning and planogram writing.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Experience with SketchUp is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Visual Merchandising, or related field.
  • Five to seven years of visual merchandising or creative production experience, with retail experience preferred.
