About the Role

The Retail Technology Engineering team at Apple designs, develops, and deploys apps and digital experiences that shape the future of Apple Retail stores globally. The role involves leading a team of engineers responsible for software tooling that streamlines and optimizes demo content creation and digital experience delivery to Apple stores worldwide. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead an engineering team that designs and implements tooling and automation supporting the delivery of innovative digital experiences in stores
  • Understand the end-to-end process of demo content creation and production, including scripts, software tools, and teams
  • Contribute to overall design, roadmap, performance analysis, and optimization of tools
  • Build management systems to ensure technical requirements are aligned with business needs and are resourced and sequenced appropriately
  • Provide relevant executive communications tied to project status
  • Collaborate with partner teams to ensure timely delivery of features or to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Monitor the performance and reliability of systems involved in content production, implementing improvements as needed to optimize operations

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in engineering management, technical program/product management, program delivery, or a similar role
  • 5+ years of people management experience, including performance management, recruitment, and organizational design
  • Track record of on-time delivery of high-quality, complex technical initiatives across global product and engineering teams, including remote vendors
  • Previous programming experience, including knowledge of command line interface (CLI), terminal tools, scripting, version control tools such as git, database management, and API integrations
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience with software tooling, automation, and digital experience delivery
