About the Role

The Manager, F&S, Content at Netflix is responsible for managing metric update rollouts, driving business strategy through analytics, spearheading special projects for senior leaders, and developing content performance metrics. The role involves collaborating with multiple teams to improve content investment decisions and understanding content performance in relation to business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing metric update rollouts and socializing those updates across Content and Finance.
  • Driving the vision and business strategy that provides the best-in-class metrics, tools, analysis, insights, and reporting to make effective content investment and programming decisions.
  • Spearheading special projects for senior leaders and developing recommendations on key strategic issues.
  • Developing and improving content performance metrics and methodologies.
  • Increasing metrics, analytics, and prediction support for live, licensing, and batching content.
  • Collaborating with the Content Programming Strategy & Operations and Data Science & Engineering teams on future research to improve metrics, analytics, and predictions.
  • Answering title and portfolio-level questions around content performance.
  • Expanding understanding of metrics through tooling, contextualization, and visualizations.
  • Gathering feedback from local and regional stakeholders including Content & Finance leadership about current tooling and limitations.
  • Working closely with Data Science & Engineering to create intuitive and usable tools and views for leadership and broader teams.
  • Analyzing connections between content metrics and business performance.
  • Investigating the correlation between content metrics and business performance predictions.
  • Identifying gaps in content-related business performance explainability and developing additional frameworks or metrics.
  • Partnering with Finance & Strategy, CPS&O, Content, Product, Marketing, Consumer Insights, and Data Science & Engineering teams.
  • Meeting regularly with local and regional teams to gather feedback and develop relationships.
  • Contributing to roadmap development and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 60 months of experience in a related role.
  • Experience managing metric updates and socializing across teams.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to develop and improve content performance metrics and methodologies.
  • Experience working with data science, engineering, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to analyze content metrics and their relationship to business performance.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with content performance prediction and analytics tools.
  • Experience working in media or entertainment industry analytics.
  • Knowledge of content licensing, batching, and live content metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
