The Localization Team is responsible for providing translations from English to 11 target languages, working with various partners and delivering localized content across multiple formats to ensure accessibility for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Support Bloomberg's products for the Traditional Chinese-speaking market by providing high-quality translations including software localization, marketing materials, company information, and financial content.
Perform quality assurance for analytical tools to ensure accuracy and usability for local clients.
Collaborate closely with localization analysts, Sales and Product teams, data analysts, and software developers to adapt products for the local market.
Build and maintain workflows that make management of language assets more efficient.
Assist in delivering content in various formats such as documents, subtitles, voice-over, and multimedia formats including videos and PDFs.

Requirements

Native-level fluency in Traditional Chinese with a strong understanding of local culture, customs, and financial markets.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Traditional Chinese, with proven experience translating complex financial and technical concepts.
Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, or Language Localization.
Proficiency with CAT tools and terminology management platforms (e.g., Trados Studio, Lilt, or similar).
Strong project management skills with experience handling multiple projects under tight deadlines.
A proactive work ethic with strong prioritization, organizational, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with file formats like XML/HTML, JSON, and proficiency in version control systems like Git.
Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools including dashboard creation for research and analysis.
Experience evaluating and annotating translations for quality.
Ability to adapt to changing tools, technologies, and workflows, and contribute to process improvements.
Experience developing and deploying workflows using Python, SQL, JavaScript, or similar languages.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, or Language Localization.
